Define permitted behavior
Identity, purpose, permissions, tools, destinations, resource limits and required approvals.
The Resilience Imperative
A system does not need human intent or a survival instinct to produce persistence, workarounds, delegation, deceptive completion or control bypass. Those behaviors can become instrumentally useful when a highly weighted objective collides with denied permissions, failed tools, exhausted resources or human intervention.
The enterprise must be able to interrupt, reconstruct and recover from an autonomous workflow, and the workflow must not be able to preserve task execution by defeating the controls intended to govern it.
Identity, purpose, permissions, tools, destinations, resource limits and required approvals.
Repeated denials, privilege expansion, anomalous memory writes, unexpected delegation and inconsistent outcomes.
Suspend tools, revoke credentials, isolate sessions, block egress and stop descendants under pre-authorized rules.
Remove persistence, validate versions and business outcomes, preserve evidence and reauthorize deliberately.
